	KHRC donates office equipment to the Ghana Police Service, Kintampo Municipality Posted: 10 October, 2011 ◊ Print this story The Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) has donated some office equipment to the Ghana Police Service in the Kintampo Municipality. The items included four (4) steel filing cabinets, five (5) writing desks and a number of office chairs. The brief presentation ceremony took place at the premises of the newly constructed Police Headquarters for the Kintampo Municipality on 22nd July, 2011. The donation came after a request was made by the Municipal Police Command for organisations in the Municipality to assist with items to furnish the new headquarters of the Ghana Police Service in the Kintampo Municipality. The Director of KHRC, Dr. Seth Owusu Agyei stated that KHRC appreciated the pivotal role of the Police in the Municipality and so when the request was made, the centre decided to donate these items as a token of their support to the activities of the Police in the Municipality. He added that this gesture was just the beginning and the centre would do more in future when the centre is in a position to do so. He expressed the hope that other organisations in the Municipality will emulate the example of KHRC and assist the Police with resources to discharge their duty to society. On behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, the Brong Ahafo Regional Command and the Kintampo Municipal Police Command, the Kintampo North Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Desmond Owusu Boampong expressed his profound gratitude to KHRC for the generosity shown the Police in Kintampo. He was elated that KHRC had responded to their request which showed the importance the centre attached to the role of the Police in the Municipality.
